Union Station in Washington, DC, is one of the grandest train stations around. This ceremonial train station was designed to be the entrance into the nation’s capital city when it opened in 1907. Now years later, it’s one of the busiest and most well-known tourist attractions in Washington, DC. In fact, it’s visited by over 20 million per year. You can take Amtrak, MARC, and VRE commuter trains into this station, just in case you were planning on traveling by railroad instead of plane. This station is so great for tourists and locals alike who are traveling in and out of the city or around town. Its convenient location makes this station a true asset to this thriving city.

Union Station in Washington, DC, is famous, too. It’s been mentioned and featured in various movies such as “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” “Hannibal,” “The Recruit,” “Along Came a Spider,” “The Sentinel,” and “Wedding Crashers.” Parts of the Tom Cruise flick, “Minority Report,” were also taken from this station.
