White House Hotels

The White House, an American landmark, is packed with rich history and an aura of historical mystique. Since its completion in 1800, The White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has been home to every president since John Adams. When President William Taft renovated the West Wing in 1909, he built what is still known today as the Oval Office – that famous main office of the President that we see during his State of the Union and other live telecasts.

Of course, The White House is more than just the President's business headquarters. Grand in size at 55,000 square feet, The White House is comprised of 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 412 doors, 147 windows, and three elevators. Among the amenities within its surrounding: a tennis court, driving range, movie theatre, even a one-lane bowling alley. After all that fun and relaxation, the President and First Lady can enjoy a gourmet meal cooked by one of the three world-class chefs on staff.

Today, The White House is among the most famous tourist attractions in all of Washington D.C., attracting more than 5,000 visitors daily.
